3 container house

So next, let's approach the building. Guess which one is the entrance out of these three containers. That’s right! It is the blue, middle container. We wanted it to pop and be welcoming. To make it really nice, we added a little front porch and wooden deck on the entrance. We also fortified our doors to safe door locks and even installed a digital lock focus. The middle container is acting as a corridor that leads you to the other two containers inside. It’s a vestibule, and an entryway that doubles as mudroom/ storage area. Nailed a few hooks to the wall for coats, hats and keys. There's an organizer in the corner and bins for winter clothes on the top shelf of it, a shoe rack across most of that wall on the floor.

Now, let's go inside the left container. This is how we actually have it set up for our living and dining room. We opted for a simple, minimalist life with only the things we need. We have painted the walls in white and we decided to make ceiling dark which makes a nice contrast — thanks for your suggestion Flo! On two sides we have large windows which let in a great caretaking amount of light and provide us with stunning views. We have a large sofa to lounge on and some chairs set up around our low table for eating or hanging out with friends. On the other side of the Blue special steel 3 container home, we built a kitchenette small sink top bench griller microwave fridge cupboards We like to make uncomplicated foods that use ingredients fresh from our garden, or the farmers market. But man does it sure feel good to be eating our own food!

Sustainability Meets Style in the 3 Container House

Next, we should go over the right container. This we needs to do the other side with my office, but this has bathroom and bedroom. This one is a little smaller than the rest but that has still been big enough to hold all of our necessities. An amenities in bathroom consist of a shower, toilet, sink and Boca (Sweet lol got it wet) A medicine cabinet and towel rack. We even put in an exhaust fan to keep the air circulating and clean. The bedroom comes with a full-size bed, plenty of room for our clothing in the closet and bookshelf to put all my books I like reading on my free time as well as some light from the window. The calming teal accent color was very easy to paint, and gives a warm cozy feeling that puts out minds at ease. We added a few soft cushions and pillows, then layered on organic cotton sheets and blankets to create a warm oasis.

Exterior First of all, a word about the exterior. To differentiate our house, we painted each container a different color: the blue midsection; white left-side my space and grey right sides his. It gives a playful modern feel, and specifies the areas of our home which makes it simple to find where things are — for anyone who visits. To dress the front and back 8' walls of the living area container up a bit, we put on cedar siding for texture to tie it all together perpendicular to what was underneath it), warmth (warms up an extremely cold looking building), as well as screen off their propane tank and at least pretend-to-screen-off AC unit. We settled on cedar: it is a sustainable, strong wood which weathers beautifully and smells great.
